UNDER GRADUATE ADMISSION 2014

Direct admission in Bengali Honours (Click here for details) and Botany Honours (Click here for details) on 9th August, 2014 at 8:30 A.M.

First year Honours and General classes for the session 2014-1015 shall start on and from 28th July, 2014. All admitted students are required to assemble in the college on 28th July, 2014 at 7:30 AM.

Direct Admission belonging to General caste in Honours and General courses: 15th July, 2014. For details Click here.

Direct Admission in SC/ST/OBC categories in Honours and General courses: 11th and 12 th July, 2014. For details Click here.

Admission to Honours courses in Economics, Hindi, History, Philosophy, Pol. Sc., and Bio Science (General) and Pure Science (General) courses will continue from 3rd July, 2014 till seats are available. Candidates are required to visit the College for collecting and submission of Application forms.

2nd Counselling in few Honours subjects (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Zoology, Physiology, English, Bengali and Geography) from the meritlist (Click here ) shall be on 5th July, 2014 at 7:30 AM in the college. Date of Admission from 2nd Counselling: July 5 & 7, 2014.

Applicants of OBC (A) and OBC (B) Categories:

(1) OBC (A) and OBC (B) applicants who could not access online application form in OBC (A) and OBC (B) categories and filled their applications in General and any other categories, may edit their Application form to insert their OBC categories and resubmit the forms with the same application number from 15th June to 18th June, 2014.

No extra fees are required for resubmission with the previous Application Numbers.

(2) Those OBC(A) and OBC(B) applicants who cannot resubmit their edited application form in the above manner, may contact College directly between 16th June to 18th June, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

OBC(A) and OBC(B) category applicants who cannot resubmit their applications according to item (1) or cannot contact College as per item (2), but whose names are included in the General and any other categories in the Merit List (what ever be their position) published on 23rd June, 2014 are required to attend Counselling in their respective subjects as per schedule put up in Notice.

For B.A. General Courses Applicants

For direct admission in Journalism & Mass Communication and Film Studies in B.A. General Courses (without Geography) applicants are required to contact College Office from 30th June 2014 onwards (8:30 AM to 11:00 AM). Total seats: 30

For B.A. Honours Courses Applicants

Applicants in English, History and Political Science Honours courses desiring to take Journalism & Mass Communication and Film Studies as General subjects are required to apply online with any two General subjects permissible. Conversion to Journalism & Mass Communication and Film Studies shall be done during Counselling.

The College offers 3-year undergraduate Honours and General Courses in Science and Humanities (Arts) under the affiliation of Calcutta University.

Students passed 10+2 level board examinations from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), ISC, CBSE, and different boards of other states in India are eligible for admission to this college following the eligibility criteria mentioned [Click Here].

Application for 3-year B.A/B.Sc Admission in Honours and General courses for the session 2014-2015 shall be online (click here) from 4th June, 2014.

Admission will be strictly on the Merit Basis.

After publication of the Merit List, admission in Honours Courses will be after counselling in the College [Click Here].

Admission in General Courses from the Merit List will be on the stipulated date [Click Here] on first-come-first served basis.

All admissions are provisional subject to approval of the Calcutta University.

How To Apply Online

STEP 1: Apply online at www.vcfwadmission.com or at www.collegeadmission.in

Read carefully the Admission Brochure [Click Here for download] before filling the application form.

N.B Helpline: +91 33 4006 8162 during office hours (9 AM and 5 PM) only for difficulties in submission of Application Form.

STEP 2: After submission of Application Form, get a print out of the filled-in Application Form along with the Challan bearing the Application Form Number and bar code (3 challans in one page).

STEP 3: Submit Application Fee of Rs. 150 (in cash) for each application at College Office between 8:00 and 12:30 AM from June 4 to 18, 2014 and on June 19, 2014 till 11 AM. Without Application Fee, Applications will not be considered.

STEP 4: N.B.: Application will not be considered without Application Fee. To ensure validation of your Application Form, please check "VALID APPLICATION" section in the admission site (www.vcfwadmission.com) 2-3 days after depositing the Application Fee to the College Office. In case, your application does not get validated till then, then only visit College Office along with proof of Application Fee submission on or before 19th June, 2014 till 11:00 AM beyond which no complaints will be entertained.

Documents Required during Admission

Candidates from the Merit List for Honours courses called for counselling must have to produce the following documents at the time of counselling (click here) :

(1) Filled in application form [printout of the form (2 pages) submitted online]

(2) Reciept of the application fee (Original Challan-receipt)

(3) All documents (in original) like Marksheets, Admit card for H.S. or equivalent examination, SC/ST certificate (if applicable), document showing Date of Birth. etc.

(4) Two Recent stamp size color photographs.

Applicants for the General courses (Humanities, Physical Sc. and Bio-Sc.), appearing in the Merit List may take their admission to the respective courses directly on the date mentioned [Click Here] on the First-Come-First-Served basis. During Admission, the above 4 documents are required to produce at the College Office.
